RAMALLAH, Saturday, October 10, 2020 (WAFA) – Minister of Health Mai Alkaila announced today that at least 11 people have died of the coronavirus disease, all in the West Bank, 281 new cases were confirmed, and 318 patients have recovered during the last 24 hours. The figures excluded East Jerusalem as no data was available.
Alkaila said in her daily coronavirus report that five people died of the novel virus in Hebron, three in Tulkarm, one in Jenin, one in Nablus, and one in the village of Beit Surik in the Jerusalem Governorate.
As for the geographic distribution of the new cases, she said 16 cases were reported in Hebron, 38 in Nablus, 29 in Bethlehem, 31 in Qalqilya, 18 in Ramallah, 32 in Jenin, nine in Jericho, 12 in Salfit, 32 in Tulkarm, six in the West Bank side of the Jerusalem Governorate, and 58 in the Gaza Strip.
In the meantime, Alkaila said 39 coronavirus patients are currently in intensive care, of whom eight are on respirators.
