Five deaths, 788 new cases and 1324 recoveries from coronavirus in Palestine in 24 hours

RAMALLAH, Monday, September 14, 2020 (WAFA) – Five people have died of the novel coronavirus pandemic in Palestine, 788 others were infected by the disease and 1324 have recovered in the last 24 hours, today said Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.

She said in the daily report on the Coronavirus pandemic that the five deaths were all in the West Bank, including a 106-year-old man from the village of Beit Fourik in the northern Nablus district.

While figures from East Jerusalem were not included in the tally, most of the new corona cases were recorded in the southern West Bank Hebron district, the epicenter of the disease, while 122 cases were recorded in the Ramallah district, Jenin 87, Bethlehem 58, villages near Jerusalem had 106 cases and 108 in the Gaza Strip.

Of the recoveries, 632 were in the Hebron district and 583 in the Ramallah district.

Alkaila said 35 patients are currently getting treatment from the disease in hospitals while eight patients are on ventilators.
