RAMALLAH, Monday, September 7, 2020 (WAFA) – The 182 new cases of coronavirus confirmed in the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, the highest number since the outbreak of the disease in Palestine in March, has raised the total in Palestine to 789 in one day, according to official figures.
Minister of Health Mai Alkaila said three people have died of coronavirus in Palestine in the last 24 hours and 789 new cases were recorded, while 581 patients have recovered.
One of the deaths was recorded in the Gaza Strip, and the other two in Nablus area and the Hebron district in the West Bank.
She said that out of the 789 new cases and in addition to the 182 cases in the Gaza Strip, 162 were in the Hebron district and 137 in Jerusalem. Ramallah and al-Bireh had 69 new cases.
The Hebron district had the highest number of recoveries with 382 cases followed by Jerusalem with 154 cases.
In addition, 32 patients are in intensive care in hospitals and five of them are on respirators, said the Health Minister.
