RAMALLAH, Thursday, July 16, 2020 (WAFA) – Palestine Thursday evening confirmed two new novel coronavirus fatalities, raising the death toll in the occupied territories since the pandemic spread to 52.
The Health Ministry announced that a 61-year-old Palestinian man from Deir al-Hatab village, east of Nablus city, and a 63-year-old man from Hebron city died due to the highly contagious virus.
Earlier today, the ministry confirmed three corona-related fatalities in the occupied territories, bringing the total fatalities in the last 24 hours to five.
According to the latest coronavirus data, the confirmed cases in the occupied territories (West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and Gaza) reached 8,616.
Out of the 8,616 cases, 7,340 are recorded in the West Bank, 72 in the Gaza Strip and 1,204 in East Jerusalem.
Recoveries have totaled 1,487, including 174 in East Jerusalem, leaving a total of 7,077 active cases.
