GAZA, September 6, 2018 (WAFA) – After closing it for few days, the Israeli army partially opened on Thursday Erez/Beit Hanoun personnel border crossing with Gaza, according to Palestinian border officials.
They said Israel informed the Palestinian side that the border will be open for ill people seeking treatment outside the besieged Gaza Strip and for members of international organizations as well as residents of the West Bank who want to leave Gaza and return to the West Bank.
The crossing, however, remained closed for businesspeople and participants in training sessions.
Israel closed the border on Monday following protests on the Palestinian side against American and Israeli attempts to do away with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and to end the Palestinian refugee issue.
