Foreign Ministry welcomes Oman’s decision to open embassy in Palestine

 

RAMALLAH, Wednesday, June 26, 2019 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed today a decision by Oman to open an embassy in Palestine.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatiates in the State of Palestine welcomes the decision of the Sultanate of Oman to open a diplomatic mission at the level of an embassy in the State of Palestine,” it said in a statement, adding that it regards this step as an extension of Oman’s support for the Palestinian cause, struggle and rights.

The Omani foreign ministry announced in a statement today that it has decided to open a diplomatic mission in Palestine at the level of an embassy as part of Oman’s support for the Palestinian people.

There are several foreign and Arab diplomatic missions in Palestine operating from Ramallah, the temporary base of the Palestinian Authority.
