Ramallah restaurants to open only for delivery

RAMALLAH, Thursday, April 30, 2020 (WAFA) – Ramallah governor Laila Ghannam said today that restaurants in Ramallah, the de facto capital of the Palestinian Authority, will be allowed to open, but only for delivery.

She said in a statement that following consultations, it was decided to allow the restaurants to open for delivery as of Saturday as long as they adhere to strict health measures.

The restaurants, as all businesses, were shut down in the effort to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. However, the Palestinian Authority started this week to ease some of the restrictions by allowing certain shops to open on certain days.

Restaurants usually shut down during the day during the fast month of Ramadan and open only in the evening with the break of the fast.
