Al-Malki discusses developments with Kenyan counterpart

 

NOUAKCHOTT, June 30, 2018 (WAFA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Riyad al-Malki met his Kenyan counterpart Monica Juma on Saturday on the sideline of the 31st summit of the African Union in Nouakchott, Mauritania, where they discussed the latest developments in Palestine and the region.

Al-Malki briefed Juma on the continuing Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people, foremost of which the settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territories. He stressed the need to secure international protection to the Palestinian people.

Meanwhile, Juma expressed to al-Malki that her country is keen to support the Palestinian issue in all international forums and that a two-state solution should be the basis for resolving the question of Palestine.

She also affirmed Kenya’s position that bolsters the creation of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
