RAFAH, June 30, 2018 (WAFA) – Two young Gazans shot dead by Israeli soldiers on Friday during border protests were laid to rest on Saturday in their hometown, reported WAFA correspondent.
Thousands of people took part in the funeral procession of Yaser Amjad Abu al-Naja, 14, and Mohammad Fawzi Hamaydeh, 24, which started at Gaza European Hospital and ended at their hometown in Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip, where they were buried.
Hamaydeh was shot in the abdomen and leg and Abu al-Naja in the head during their participation in the protests at the Gaza border with Israel east of Khan Younis.
Over 400 participants in the protests suffered various kinds of injuries from bullets and tear gas fired by soldiers stationed on the Israel side of the fence.
