GAZA, June 22, 2018 (WAFA) – At least 35 Palestinians were injured on Friday after Israeli soldiers opened fire at hundreds of Palestinians who gathered near the Gaza-Israel border fence to demand return to their homes in historical Palestine, according to the Ministry of Health.

The ministry said 23 of the injured were treated at the field hospitals near the border fence, while the other 12 were moved to hospitals for medical treatment. 

Earlier the day, Israeli soldiers opened fire at the protesters at the border north of Beit Lahia town, in northern Gaza Strip, injuring four of them, two of them by live bullets. They were moved to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

A fifth Palestinian was also injured when he was targeted by live bullets by Israeli soldiers east of Khan Younes, in southern Gaza Strip. He was moved to hospital for medical treatment.

Other Palestinian protesters also suffocated from teargas fired at them by the Israeli soldiers at many locations across Gaza-Israel border.

Over 145 Palestinians have been killed and thousands injured since the outbreak of the Great March of Return protests at Gaza border on March 30.
