RAMALLAH, June 21, 2018 (WAFA) – The Israeli authorities demolished or sealed shut 48 homes of Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem it alleged were involved in attacking Israelis, the latest was the home of Ala’a Qabaha demolished on Thursday morning in the Jenin area town of Barta’a, a research center said on Thursday.
The Abdullah Hourani Center for Studies and Documentation said 43 homes were demolished, including the Qabaha home, and five sealed shut with ready mix concrete since October 2015 when Palestinians started lone wolf attacks against the Israeli occupiers in the West Bank, Jerusalem and inside Israel.
The center said the demolitions and sealing of homes are part of Israel’s collective punishment policy against the Palestinian civilians living under its occupation when an entire family is punished for the act of only one member by the demolition of its home and shelter that leads to the displacement of several of its members including children, which is in total violation of international humanitarian law and the Fourth Geneva Conventions.
