RAMALLAH, June 20, 2018 (WAFA) – Foreign Minister Riyad Malki held talks in Ramallah on Wednesday with his Maltese counterpart Carmelo Abela during which they discussed mutual relations and the latest political developments in the region.
Malki briefed his guest of the Israeli violation against the occupied Palestinian people through its settlement activities and aggression against the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
They also discussed the implications of the US recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel and moving the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, as well as other US measures against the Palestinian people including slashing US aid to the United Nations agency in charge of Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, and to the Palestinian Authority.
The two sides discussed as well increasing cooperation in education, commerce, economy, culture, tourism and agriculture. They expressed a desire to see this relationship develop.
