JERUSALEM, April 20, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli police late Thursday night injured a Palestinian elderly man and detained two minors in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan, said WAFA correspondent and a local watchdog.
Israeli police conducted a raid into Silwan after erecting barriers at the neighborhood entrances.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center, a Silwan-based watchdog, said that troops raided the family home of a 65-year-old Palestinian man, assaulting him and his family members, violently ransacking the property and detaining his 14-year-old child.
The center added that troops fired a concussion grenade at the elderly man, striking him in his lower extremities and causing cuts and bruises. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Troops also stormed and thoroughly searched several other homes in Silwan, where they indiscriminately fired concussion grenades at residents and detained a 17-year-old minor.
