RAMALLAH, April 16, 2018 (WAFA) – Critically injured Gaza journalist, Ahmad Abu Hussein, arrived at Ramallah Medical Complex late Sunday to continue treatment from a bullet wound inflicted when Israeli soldiers opened fire at Palestinian protesters at Gaza border on Friday.

The Red Crescent transferred Abu Hussein from a Gaza hospital to Ramallah following an intervention by the Red Cross and the World Health Organization with the Israeli military authorities to issue him a permit to leave Gaza where treatment was not adequate enough to save his life.

Abu Hussein, who works for a local radio station, is the second Palestinian journalist covering the Gaza protests shot by Israeli soldiers in two weeks.

Soldiers the week before shot and killed Yasser Murtaja, 31, a photojournalist.
