SARAJEVO, April 5, 2018 (WAFA) - Bakir Izetbegovi?, the Bosnian member of the tripartite Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), condemned on Thursday Israel’s unnecessary excessive use of force against unarmed Palestinians who marched on Friday to the Gaza border with Israel to shed light on their suffering that left 16 Palestinians dead by Israeli army gunfire and more than 1400 wounded.

He called in a statement on the international community, especially the United Nations and European Union, to take every possible measure to prevent violence from escalating against the Palestinian civilians and to help improve the living conditions of the residents of Gaza.

Izetbegovic warned against deterioration in the situation in Gaza due to the Israeli siege, the crippling economic blockade and the devastated infrastructure, expressing fear of total collapse of the Gaza Strip.
