RAMALLAH, September 3, 2018 (WAFA) – The idea of confederacy has been on the agenda of the Palestinian leadership since 1984, said Nabil Abu Rudeineh, spokesman for President Mahmoud Abbas.

He said in a statement responding to Israeli reports that President Abbas told an Israeli delegation on Sunday that the Americans have suggested confederacy with Jordan as a solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict that “the position of the leadership has been since that time and until now that the two-state solution is the road to the special relationship with Jordan.”

He added; “The decision of confederacy is decided by the two peoples.”
