JORDAN VALLEY, Thursday, August 08, 2019 (WAFA) – The Israeli army continued its unending campaign against Palestinians in the Jordan Valley of the occupied West Bank with the seizure today of a tractor a local farmer uses to cultivate his land, according to a local activist.
Aref Daraghme, an activist, said soldiers seized a tractor owned by Ahmad Abu Khazaran in al-Ras al-Ahmar village in the northern Jordan Valley to prevent him from using it to tilt and work on reclaiming his land.
He said the army seized this week several vehicles and tractors used by area farmers to prevent them from developing and planting their land.
The Jordan Valley is considered part of Area C, which is under full Israeli control and where Israel does not allow any Palestinian development, work or construction despite the fact it is occupied territory and makes up over 60 percent of the area of the West Bank.
