RAMALLAH, June 29, 2016 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday strongly denounced the deadly terror attack which targeted Ataturk international airport in Istanbul, where nearly 50 passengers, including a Palestinian woman, were killed and as many as 150 injured.
On behalf of the people of Palestine, Abbas offered his condolences to the people of Turkey and the families of the victims. He also expressed his wish of a speedy recovery of the injured.
In a follow-up statement on the attack, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it has established two crisis management cells after a Palestinian woman was announced dead and six other Palestinians were injured in the attack.
The ministry identified the slain Palestinian woman as Nisrin Hashim Shafee Hammad, adding in a statement that a number of Palestinians had gone missing in the wake of the attack.
