RAMALLAH, Sunday, July 5, 2020 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces last night detained seven Palestinian civilians during raids in occupied Jerusalem and in the West Bank, said the Palestinian Prisoner‘s Society (PPS).
PPS said Israeli police forces broke into the neighborhood of al-Isawiya, in occupied Jerusalem, where they detained five Palestinians, two of whom are from the Ebeid family.
In Hebron governorate, south of the West Bank, occupation forces raided al-Arroub refugee camp, where they detained a Palestinian young man and assaulted him. The man was taken to an unknown destination.
Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers detained a Palestinian man from Ramallah while he was trying to pass a military checkpoint set up by the former near the village of Khan al-Ahmar, east of Jerusalem.
Almost every night, Israeli occupation forces raid towns and villages in the occupied West Bank, as well as Arab neighborhoods in occupied Jerusalem, to carry out arrests and/or summon civilians for questioning. This has been part of the daily life under Israeli military regime for decades.
