BRUSSELS, December 5, 2017 (WAFA) - Italian Foreign Minister Angelino Alfano Tuesday said that the status of Jerusalem should be included in the Palestinian-Israeli negotiations.
Speaking on the margins of the European Union‘s informal lunch with US Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson in Brussels, Alfano reiterated to Tillerson that "the European position is in support of the two-state solution and that the status of Jerusalem should be included in the negotiations, which were started in these years, even though without definitive results, and cannot be put on another track."
His remarks came following reports of US intentions to move the US embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and to recognize Jerusalem as capital of Israel.
