Poland to equip the Palestinian rapid intervention team

RAMALLAH, October 23, 2017 (WAFA) - The Palestinian International Cooperation Agency (PICA) signed on Monday a cooperation agreement with the Polish representative to Palestine in which the latter will contribute to equipping PICA’s team for rapid intervention.

PICA director Imad Zuhairi signed the agreement with the Polish representative to Palestine, Aleksandra Bukowska, who welcomed it and considered it the beginning of growing cooperation between Poland and Palestine that would later include various sectors.

Bukowska invited Zuhairi to visit Warsaw and meet with Polish officials in various ministries to lay down an outline for future cooperation between PICA and its partners.

PICA signed two weeks ago an agreement with the Polish Support Center to train members of the Palestinian rapid intervention and response team, especially doctors.

It is also intensively engaged with a number of countries and international agencies and bodies to equip the Palestinian team with all its needs to be ready to carry out its relief and humanitarian functions in places of need.
