RAMALLAH, December 14, 2017 (WAFA) – The Israeli army detained 16 Palestinians in raids across the West Bank in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of Palestinians detained since the outbreak of the recent wave of protests to 320, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said on Thursday.
It said that the army detained seven people from the Ramallah area, including four from Jalazoun refugee camp and three detained by undercover soldiers during protests at the DCO checkpoint north of Ramallah.
Seven others were detained from the Hebron district, one from Bethlehem and one from Jericho.
The PPS said it documented Israeli detention of 320 Palestinians since the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital on December 6.
