JERUSALEM, Sunday, April 5, 2020 (WAFA) - Israeli police early today morning detained Adnan Ghaith, the Palestinian Authority‘s governor of Jerusalem, according to WAFA correspondent in the occupied city.
He said that Israeli police raided Ghaith‘s house in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan before they detained him.
Ever since he took office in early 2019, Ghaith was detained 17 times by Israeli occupation authorities. He is also banned from entering the occupied West Bank under the pretext of being in contact with the Palestinian leadership.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces raided the house of the representative of ruling Fatah movement in Jerusalem, Shadi Mtawir, and handed him a notice to appear for questioning.
Two days ago, Israeli police detained Minister of Jerusalem Affairs Fadi Hidmi after storming his house in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Suwaneh.
During his brief detention, al-Hidmi was reportedly forced to wear a face mask contaminated with blood, at a time of rampant coronavirus outbreak in Israel.
