JERUSALEM, November 1, 2016 (WAFA) – Staff from the Israel Antiquities Authority accompanied by Israeli policemen on Tuesday broke into an Islamic cemetery outside Jerusalem’s Old City area.
Witnesses said staff from the Israel Antiquities Authority escorted by policemen broke into Bab al-Rahma cemetery, before they proceeded to destroy some of the tombstones of the existing graves.
Israeli authorities have in the past few years banned the burial of Palestinians at the Islamic cemetery of Bab al-Rahma.
