RAMALLAH, September 19, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces detained 19 Palestinians, including minors, a woman and two former detainees, during overnight raids across the West Bank, said Palestine Prisoner’s Society on Monday.
Forces detained six Palestinians from Jenin district in the northern West Bank. Among the detainees were three minors aged between 14 and 16 years.
They also detained three other Palestinians, including a 17-year-old, after storming and ransacking their homes in the northern West Bank districts of Nablus and Salfit.
In Jerusalem, police detained two Palestinians, including Ayman Kurd who was shot and injured after stabbing police officers.
Israeli troops also detained four Palestinians after ransacking their homes during raids across the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem.
The detainees were identified as Adalah Ta‘mari, 52, and her son, Ayatallah, as well as Hasanin Shawka, 57, whose son, Hasan, is already held in Israeli imprisonment, and Muhammad Jaber, a former detainee.
Ta‘mari’s husband, Muhammad Shehadeh, had been shot dead by Israeli forces and two of her sons are held in Israeli custody.
To the south of Bethlehem, in Hebron district, forces detained four Palestinians, including Akram Fseisi, a former detainee who went on a hunger strike against his administrative detention.
