Dozens injured in clashes with Israeli forces in Jerusalem’s Issawiyeh neighborhood

JERUSALEM, Monday, July 22, 2019 (WAFA) – Dozens of Palestinians, including a paramedic, were injured during clashes that erupted late last night with Israeli forces in the occupied East Jerusalem neighborhood of al-Issawiyeh, according to medical and local sources.

Palestine Red Crescent Society said that Israeli soldiers attacked its medical staff and prevented them from moving the injured to the hospital, noting that a paramedic was injured with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the belly.

Local sources told WAFA that Israeli forces physically attacked a number of residents and pepper sprayed them harming two siblings in their early 30s.

Israeli forces have been regularly harassing the neighborhood where two weeks ago they shot and killed a 21-year-old resident.
