Israeli Forces Detain Eight Palestinians from Ramallah, Hebron

RAMALLAH, May 24, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Tuesday detained eight Palestinians, mostly minors, during predawn raids across the West Bank districts of Ramallah and Hebron, said Palestine Prisoner’s Society.

Forces detained five Palestinian minors after storming and ransacking their families houses in al-Jalazone refugee camp, north of Ramallah.

The detainees were identified as Jehad Batnaji, 18, Muhammad Safi, 16, Osayd Nakhleh, 16, Mujahed Elayyan, 16, and Jehad Elayyan, 16.

Forces also detained a Palestinian girl from Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah. The girl was not identified.

Meanwhile, two Palestinians identified as Abdul-Karim al-Titi and Malek Hmeidat, 23, were detained from the southern West Bank district of Hebron.

This came as three other Palestinians were detained and another summoned from Hebron and Bethlehem districts.

This brought the total number of Palestinians detained Tuesday to at least 11.
