Update: Israeli Forces Detain 20 Palestinians from West Bank

NABLUS, February 17, 2016 (WAFA) - Israeli forces overnight detained a total of 20 Palestinians, including at least three minors, during raids into several West Bank districts, said security sources.

Israeli forces detained five Palestinians after breaking into and storming their family houses during raids across Nablus district.

Forces detained Abbud Alba, 19, in the vicinity of a military checkpoint in the Nablus neighborhood of Jabal al-Tur.

Forces also detained Mou’min Sabbah during a predawn raid into Asira Ash-Shamaliya town, north of the city.

The three other detainees were identified as Luqman Abu Amsha, 19, Majdi al-Zagha, 22, and Majed Qutub, 24.

Meanwhile, forces detained Muhammad and Imad al-Kumi from al-Fawwar refugee camp.

Two more Palestinians identified as Louai Jaradat and Bashar Matur were detained at dawn into Sair town, east of the city.

In the northern West Bank district of Jenin, forces detained three Palestinians after storming and ransacking their family houses in Qabatiya town, south of the city.

The detainees were identified as Moumen and Raed Abu Ma‘lam as well as Muhmmad Abu Odeh, in their 20s.

In the meantime, police detained Taha and Odai Abu Tayeh, both 17, from the Jerusalem town of Silwan. 

Another Palestinian identified as Moumen Shamasna, 20, was detained during a predawn raid into Qatanna, a town to the northwest of the city.

In Ramallah and al-Bireh district, forces detained Maher al-Qadi, a minor, Muhammad Ash-Shawamra, 24, and Mahmoud Badawi, 35, during raids across the district.

In the northern West Bank district of Salfit, forces raided Az-Zawiya town, west of the city, where they detained Ahmad Nabaa, 23, and his brother, Said, 26.
