JORDAN VALLEY, Thursday, May 14, 2020 (WAFA) – Israeli forces demolished this morning animal barns and seized water pipes in al-Ras al-Ahmar and al-Buqeiah villages in the northern Jordan Valley, according to human rights defender Aref Daraghme.
He told WAFA that soldiers broke into al-Buqeiah and seized water pipes that were supplying a local farm with fresh water.
Soldiers also raided al-Ras al-Ahmar and demolished animal barns owned by a local resident, he added.
Residents of these communities live from raising livestock and herding.
Israel, which said it seeks to annex the Jordan Valley in a step strongly opposed by the Palestinians and the international community, is trying to push its Palestinian residents out of the area by not allowing them to build or have basic services such as shelter, water and electricity.
