HEBRON, Monday, April 27, 2020 (WAFA) – Six Palestinians were injured late last night during clashes with Israeli soldiers near Fawwar refugee camp in the south of the West Bank, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent.
It said that its medics treated six Palestinians suffering from teargas inhalation and transferred them to hospital in nearby Yatta, south of the West Bank city of Hebron.
Camp residents said soldiers harassed Palestinian volunteers manning a checkpoint set up near the camp to monitor for coronavirus cases and to prevent the spread of the pandemic in their areas.
The soldiers attempted to force the volunteers to leave the area when clashes broke out between the two sides during which the soldiers fired teargas and shot rubber bullets at the Palestinians causing the injuries.
