Palestinians perform Friday prayers in threatened Khan al-Ahmar

JERUSALEM, July 13, 2018 (WAFA) – Dozens of Palestinians performed Friday prayers for the second Friday in the village of Khan al-Ahmar, to the east of Jerusalem, to express their solidarity with the village which is facing an imminent threat of demolition and displacement by Israeli authorities.

Yesterday, the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission said its attorneys won an Israeli High Court’s decision postponing the demolition of Khan al-Ahmar community, east of Jerusalem, to August 15.

Last week, Israeli forces attacked Palestinian and international activists who were on a vigil at the Bedouin community to prevent its anticipated demolition and displacement of its 180 Palestinian residents, most of them children.

An army unit raided the area where the activists were gathering, attacked them and the residents and detained three international activists – a Canadian woman, an American and a British citizen.
