Israeli soldiers shoot at students as settlers attack commuters in north of West Bank

 

NABLUS, Thursday, January 03, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli soldier shot live fire and tear gas canisters at students on Thursday as they were leaving their school in the northern West Bank village of Tell, while settlers attacked Palestinian cars on the Nablus-Qalqilya road near the illegal settlement of Yitzhar, according to Palestinian security and local sources.

Security sources said the soldiers opened live fire at Tell High School students and showered them with tear gas grenades as they were leaving school without causing any injuries.

Meanwhile, settlers threw rocks at Palestinian commuters near Yitzhar causing damage, according to Ghassan Daghlas, a local official.

He told WAFA the settlers blocked traffic on the road near their settlement and attacked the Palestinian cars causing panic and damage to some cars. There were no reports of anyone injured.
