RAMALLAH, January 21, 2018 (WAFA) – Jamal Muheisen, member of Fatah party central committee called for a general strike on Tuesday in the occupied West Bank to protest US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel.  

The strike will include all sectors and institutions except the ministries of Health and Education.

In an interview with Voice of Palestine radio, Muheisen said the strike aims to protest Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and activate non-violent popular resistance as affirmed by the Palestinian Central Council.

He said a meeting will be held on Sunday to discuss ways to strengthen the popular resistance to end the Israeli occupation.
