GAZA, Wednesday, February 20, 2019 (WAFA) – Two Palestinians were injured tonight when Israeli soldiers opened fire at dozens of protesters near the border with Israel in the south of the Gaza Strip, according to the Red Crescent.
The two were shot in the leg and were reported in moderate condition, it said.
Dozens of Palestinians gathered near the border as part of the night protests as some attempted to breach the border fence with Israel and tear it down.
Earlier, an Israeli drone opened fire at a motorcycle and a field near the borders in the central Gaza Strip, causing damage but no injury.
Israel claimed the attack came after Palestinians flew incendiary balloons into Israel causing a fire that was contained quickly.
