ROME, Sunday, December 02, 2018 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas Sunday arrived in the Italian capital, Rome, on an official visit where he is scheduled to meet with his Italian counterpart, Sergio Mattarella.
President Abbas will meet with Italian President Sergio Mattarella, Italy‘s Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, and Pope Francis during his official visit to Rome, to discuss the latest political developments in the region as well as bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop them.
The President is accompanied by Riyad Malki, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates and Majdi al-Khalidi, the president’s diplomatic adviser, Nabil Shaath, advisor to Abbas for external affairs and international relations, Mahmoud al-Habbash, Abbas‘ advisor on religious affairs, and Ramzi Khoury, president of the Palestinian National Fund.
