HEBRON, Tuesday, June 04, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli forces detained two Palestinians and caused several others to suffocate from tear gas in Hebron and Jenin districts.
Muhammad Awad, an anti-settlement activist, reported that Israeli forces ransacked several houses and detained a Palestinian in Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron.
During ensuring confrontations, soldiers opened fire towards the villagers, causing a number to suffer from the effects of tear gas inhalation.
All suffocation cases received medical treatment at the scene.
In the northern West Bank, local sources confirmed an Israeli military raid in Silat al-Harithiya village, northwest of Jenin, resulting in the detention of a Palestinian.
Meanwhile, Israeli special forces rounded up a Palestinian after storming his workplace in Israel.
The detainee was identified as a resident of the northern West Bank district of Jenin.
Israeli forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
