JERUSALEM, January 23, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli police Monday charged four settlers of assaulting Palestinians and asked a Jerusalem court to keep them in prison, according to an Israeli police statement.
The settlers were caught following a police chase after they were seen attacking Palestinians in the town of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah, last Monday.
The police said a patrol noticed masked settlers from the settlement of Geolat Zion carrying clubs and throwing rocks at farmers in the area.
After a police chase, four were arrested, including three minors.
The four were remanded in custody until they were brought before a court in Jerusalem and charged with attempting to harm others as well as assault to cause serious harm on racist grounds.
