Over 180 Palestinians detained in last five days, says Prisoners Commission

 

RAMALLAH, Monday, December 17, 2018 (WAFA) – The Israeli military detained 183 Palestinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in the last five days while the number of those detained since the beginning of the month has reached 330, the Palestinian Authority’s Prisoners Commission said on Monday.

It said in most cases the soldiers had assaulted and mistreated the detainees to a point some of them were admitted to hospital.

The Prisoners Society also said that the Israeli army detained on Monday 16 Palestinians in the West Bank.

It said nine of the detainees were from the Ramallah area, three from Bethlehem area, including two 17-year-old teenagers, one from Tulkarm and one from Balata refugee camp in Nablus.

Two more were detained in occupied East Jerusalem, it said.
