SAINT PETERSBURG, May 26, 2018 (WAFA) – The French President Emmanuel macron said the US relocation of its embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem was “a wrong decision.”
During a speech delivered at the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, Russia, on Friday, Macron said: “I openly stated this was a mistake. I think that we should avoid escalating the tension in the region.”
The French president further reiterated his country’s support and commitment to the two-state solution, stressing the need to hold negotiations in this regard.
Macron expressed regret over the US relocation of its embassy, maintaining that such move is not right and undesirable.
