RAMALLAH, October 5, 2017 (WAFA) – Japan has agreed to finance the construction of two solid waste disposal stations in the Jerusalem and Qalqilia governorates at a cost of $1 million, undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Government Mohammad Jabarin said on Thursday.
He said in a statement that this grant serves the solid waste sector in Palestine and enhances the role of the joint services councils that manage solid waste in improving the level of services provided to the people. It will also contribute to reducing the costs of transporting waste to the central dumps.
Jabarin expressed appreciation to the Japanese government for its continued support to the local government in general and the solid waste sector in particular.
