NABLUS, September 1, 2018 (WAFA) – Jewish settlers from the illegal settlement of Yitzhar, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, cut down on Saturday a number of olive trees in the nearby village of Bourin, according to a local official.
Ghassan Daghlas, who is watching illegal settlement activities in the north of the occupied West Bank, said the settlers chopped 20 live trees owned by a local farmer.
Settler vandalism of Palestinian property in the occupied territories is a daily occurrence even though it increases during the soon approaching olive harvest season, which is the main source of income for thousands of Palestinian families, when settles cut or torch hundreds of olive trees in an act of hate and terrorize farmers picking olive in their lands.
