RAMALLAH, February 29, 2016 (WAFA) – The three Palestinian Arabic dailies said, in their primary subject Monday, that multiple Palestinians were injured by Israeli fire during clashes in Bethlehem district and Jerusalem on Sunday.
The three dailies reported that dozens of Palestinians were either “arrested or injured” during Israeli raids in the villages of al-Khader, Dar Salah, both in Bethlehem district in the West Bank, and in al-Issawiyya, an outskirt of Jerusalem.
Al-Quds and al-Hayat al-Jadida added that a Palestinian farmer was injured by Israeli fire to the east of Khan Younes in Gaza Strip.
Al-Ayyam reported that an Israeli settler claimed he had been attacked by masked people to the west of Ramallah on Sunday.
Al-Hayat Al-Jadida and Al-Ayyam quoted the former chief of the internal security service Avi Dikhtar, that “a thousand mothers of [Palestinian] terrorists will cry so that a single mother of ours won‘t cry”, in a clear incitement against Palestinians.
Al-Ayyam daily reported that Israeli forces ill-treated a Palestinian worker on “Jabarah” checkpoint near Tulkarem.
Al-Quds Daily reported that Israeli forces distributed demolish orders for two residential buildings in “Shu’fat” refugee camp, and to remove slogans from walls.
Al-Hayat Al-Jadida and al-Quds reported that the President Mahmoud Abbas has received a letter of support from his South African counterpart.
The same daily reported that a missing Palestinian teenager, 17-year-old Ibrahim Abahreh from Jenin, has been found incarcerated in an Israeli prison, five days after he went missing and without any information about his whereabouts.
Al-Ayyam reported that the legal counsel of the Israeli government refused to expel families of Palestinians suspected of carrying out attacks on Israeli targets to Gaza and Syria.
Al-Ayyam reported that Israeli forces detained 21-year-old Saadi Abu Hamed, a Palestinian who Israel accuses of stabbing an Israeli guard in “Ma’ale Adumim” settlement last Friday.
Al-Hayat Al-Jadida reported that Israeli police prevented Palestinian workers from entering “Ma’ale Adumim” settlement until Thursday, in the aftermath of the Friday stabbing attack.
Al-Hayyat Al-Jadida reported that Palestinian police reveal the circumstances of a 2.5 million Sheqel robbery in warehouses in Jenin, in northern West Bank, and Taffuh town, near Hebron.
