RAMALLAH, November 21, 2016 (WAFA) – Fatah is ready to convene its seventh congress scheduled for November 29, Mahmoud Abu al-Haija, designated spokesman for the conference, said on Monday.
Speaking to Voice of Palestine, Abu al-Haija said all administrative and technical preparations for the conference have been completed.
He said the movement, headed by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, has invited all Palestinian factions, including Hamas and the Islamic Jihad, to attend its opening session.
He said any member of Fatah may run for any of the top posts in the movement’s hierarchy, but that will be done only on the first day of the conference, which will convene in Ramallah.
