RAMALLAH, January 10, 2018 (WAFA) – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas received on Tuesday an important telephone call from King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia.
King Salman reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s firm and continuing support for Palestinian right to establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
He affirmed as well the importance of continuing with direct daily coordination to assure support for the Palestinian cause, the Arab’s number one issue, reiterating his country’s firm position from the Palestinian issue, particularly Jerusalem.
President Abbas thanked King Salman for his support for the rights of the Palestinian people, as has been the position of the kingdom since the times of the founding ruler King Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud.
The two leaders agreed on continuing direct coordination in the coming period.
