RAMALLAH, Tuesday, June 16, 2020 (WAFA) – Minister of Health Mai Alkaila said this morning that a new coronavirus case was recorded in the northern West Bank city of Tulkarm of a Palestinian worker in Israel, which brings the overall total in Palestine to 690.
Three other cases were confirmed last night in the southern West Bank district of Hebron, including two in the town of Dahriyeh of a 38-year-old man and a two-month old infant, and the third in Bani Naim town of a 43-year-old man. The three contracted the disease after coming in contact with infected people.
Active cases in Palestine, which includes occupied East Jerusalem, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, stands currently at 115 after 570 cases have recovered and five deaths.
When broken down by area, the West Bank has 434 corona cases and two deaths, Gaza 72 cases and one death, and East Jerusalem 184 cases and two deaths.
The number of recoveries in the West Bank is 370, Gaza 45, and 155 in East Jerusalem.
