JENIN, Friday, October 18, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli forces today detained at least two Palestinians and ransacked several houses in the northern West Bank city of Jenin.
Local sources confirmed that Israeli military vehicles raided Jenin city, where soldiers rounded up two Palestinians after breaking into their families’ houses.
The soldiers ransacked several other houses, including the family house of a Palestinian they sought to detain.
They destroyed the doors, searched the house and fired stun grenades inside before handing the family a notice that their son should turn himself to the Salem military base.
Israeli forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
