GAZA, Wednesday, June 26, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli navy attacked late last night and this morning Palestinian fishing boats while sailing within the permitted area of six nautical miles in the south of the Gaza Strip, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said the Israeli navy opened fire at the fishing boats damaging some and detaining three fishermen, including two siblings. They were taken to Ashdod seaport in southern Israel before they were released hours later.

Israel has reduced the permitted fishing area off the Gaza coast from 15 nautical miles to only six as a collective punishment for the flying of incendiary balloons into southern Israeli towns.
