NABLUS, January 11, 2018 (WAFA) – A teenager identified as Omar Kino Qadous, 16, who was shot and critically injured by Israeli soldiers in the village of Iraq Burin, south of Nablus, has died in hospital, according to the Ministry of Health.
Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlements activities in the northern West Bank, said soldiers manning a checkpoint outside the village opened fire at young people without any reason hitting Qadous, who was transferred to Rafidia hospital in Nablus where he was pronounced dead.
Earlier today, Israeli army forces closed a junction connecting between Tell and Iraq Burin, two villages to the south of Nablus with cement cubes.
The Israeli army has been imposing strict measures against tens of thousands of Palestinians that skyrocketed since an Israeli settler was shot dead on Tuesday night on a main road outside the illegal Israeli outpost of Havat Gilad near Nablus.
Since then Israel has closed main roads, blocked off villages and towns and continues to penalize Palestinians with closures and lengthy inspections of vehicles and personal identification documents at checkpoints.
