RAMALLAH, Friday, March 13, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is partially cloudy to cloudy, relatively cold to cold and occasionally dusty in daytime and cold in nighttime with a significant drop in temperature, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Scattered rainfall is expected along with occasional thunderstorms and hail, with the rain intensifying towards the night. Active southeasterly to southwesterly wind prevails in daytime, and becomes southwesterly to northwesterly with gusts in nighttime. Sea waves are high.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 13°C and a low of 9°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 12°C and a low of 8°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 20°C and a low of 14°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 18°C and a low of 12°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

The low pressure is expected to continue on Saturday, causing temperature to further drop and paving the way to partially cloudy to cloudy and cold to very conditions.

Scattered torrential rain showers are expected, along with thunderstorms and occasional hail. Gusty wind blows.

Sunday’s temperature is set to rise, yet partially cloudy to cloudy and relatively cold conditions continue to prevail. A slight chance of sporadic light rainfall is expected on some districts before noon.

A further rise is expected in temperature on Monday, paving the way to mostly clear and mild to slightly cold conditions.

PMD warns people against floods in flood-prone area, gusty wind, low horizontal visibility and slippery roads.
