RAMALLAH, Thursday, August 08, 2019 (WAFA) – Extremist Jewish settlers on Thursday evening attacked with stones Palestinian vehicles passing at route 60 near the village of Lubban Esharqia, north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, said WAFA correspondent.
Jewish settlers attacked vehicles while passing near the village, causing partial damages to some of them.
Other drivers, meanwhile, opted for longer, alternative routes in order to avert the stone-attack.
Israeli settler violence against Palestinians and their property is commonplace in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities. It includes arsons of property and mosques, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Between 500,000 and 600,000 Israelis live in Jewish-only settlements across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of international law.
